Led by father-son duo Steve and Adam Stine, Stine Enterprises is bringing Hawaiian Bros, the fastest-growing Island cuisine chain, to metro Phoenix. The company announced plans to open 75 locations in Arizona and north Texas.
Hawaiian Bros is a Kansas City-based chain specializing in plate lunch, a meal that usually includes a scoop of white rice, a scoop of macaroni salad and meat like Kalua pork or grilled chicken. The meal became popular in Hawaii in the late 1800s when workers would make plates of leftover meat and rice.
“Given the operational excellence of Stine Enterprises and their commitment to the communities they serve, they are an ideal first franchise partner for our brand,” Hawaiian Bros Island Grill President and Co-CEO Scott Ford said in a statement.
In addition, with its active involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and raising over $1 million for it, he wrote that Stine Enterprises aligns with the restaurant’s “Ohana culture of dedication to community.”
