Frankie Muniz is on his way to making his childhood NASCAR dreams come true.

After more than a decade away from professional racing, the actor and metro Phoenix resident will compete for the NASCAR-owned ARCA Menards Series championship this year. On Jan. 11, the Automobile Racing Club of America announced that Muniz will drive a No. 30 Ford Mustang for the Rette Jones Racing team in 2023. His first official race will be at Daytona International Speedway in Florida on Feb. 18.

“Ever since childhood, it’s been my dream to pursue racing in NASCAR,” Muniz said in a statement. “I look forward to not only demonstrating my ability on the track and just how serious how I am in progressing in my racing career, but also showing my son and family what it is to chase your dreams and reinvent yourself.”
