Has big showdown Tuesday against Phoenix Alhambra, before playing Sandra Day O’Connor on Friday.
2. Chandler Basha Bears, 3-0
They may have the deepest pitching staff in the state.
3. Glendale Mountain Ridge Lions, 6-0
They’ve not allowed more than two runs in any game.
4. Queen Creek Bulldogs, 5-1
They’ve picked up where they left off last year with clutch hitting, pitching and defense.
5. Queen Creek Casteel Colts, 4-0
Top team in 4A has a strong batting order, top to bottom, to go with exceptional pitching.
6. Scottsdale Chaparral Firebirds, 5-2
They have not lost to an Arizona team yet.
7. Phoenix Pinnacle Pioneers, 6-1
They’ve won six in a row, including a 10-6 win over Brophy Prep.
8. Tucson Catalina Foothills Falcons, 4-0
Might be the best team in Southern Arizona after going 18-14 last year.
9. Goodyear Estrella Foothills Wolves, 6-0
Got off to a big start last week winning six games in a tourament.
10. San Luis Sidewinders, 6-0-1
Schedule gets tougher Wednesday when they travel to play Chandler.
