Rocker Pete Yorn plays the Rialto Saturday night
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 07.09.2009
Brooding rocker Pete Yorn is in the midst of a creative splurge.
Last month, he released his fourth studio album, "Back and Fourth" — which comes three years after his last album, 2006's "Nightcrawler."
In September, he is set to release "Break Up," a duets project with actress/singer Scarlett Johansson. He wrote eight of the CD's nine songs, which, according to USA Today, were inspired by a dream of Yorn's. The paper speculated that Yorn was dreaming of Johansson, but we won't go that far.
Perhaps we can decide for sure when the 34-year-old New Jersey native takes the stage at the Rialto Theatre on Saturday. The show begins at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $23.50.
Yorn's Tucson concert is part of his summer tour of small to midsize theaters including sold-out shows at New York's Joe's Pub and L.A.'s Roxy.
