Last week, Michael Jackson, "The
King of Pop," died after suffering
cardiac arrest. He was 50, and
preparing start a series of
comeback concerts.

Jackson's musical
accomplishments were many,
including the hits "Bad," "Billie
Jean," "Thriller" and "Shake Your
Body (Down to the Ground)." His
1982 album "Thriller" is the
best-selling album of all time.

He collaborated with Paul
McCartney, Quincey Jones, and
his sister, Janet Jackson.

He invented the moonwalk.

And while his behavior later in life
was bizarre, we prefer to focus
on the positives, like Jackson's
music, and his charity work.

In one instance, the two
overlapped. Jackson co-wrote the
charity single "We Are the
World," which was released
worldwide to aid the poor in
Africa and the United States.

Tell us who co-wrote the song for
a chance to win an audio book.

Calexico's annual benefit for KXCI is Monday night

Tucson, Arizona | Published: 12.25.2008
Oh, Calexico, with your terrific 2008 album, "Carried To Dust," and deep local music history, play for us again!
Monday sees Tucson's favorite Southwest Americana rockers, Joey, John and the gang, roll out their annual benefit concert for community-radio station KXCI (91.3-FM) at the Rialto Theatre.
The Calexico holiday shows typically have a family-type vibe and include appearances by a variety of local musicians.
It'd be tough to see Monday being anything but a complete celebration, capping off a great year for the band.
Opening is Sergio Mendoza Y La Orchestra, and general admission tickets are $19 in advance and $20 day of show. Reserved seats in the balcony are $26.
The show starts at 8 p.m.
