Catch these summer specials at restaurants all over town

Restaurant specials are some of the best perks of a Tucson summer — prices start to fall about the time the mercury climbs beyond 100. The following specials generally start June 1. Deals don't include tax or tips. We'll keep this list posted, and updated, on aznightbuzz.com through Labor Day.
Acacia at St. Philip's
4340 N. Campbell Ave., 232-0101.
• A weekly dinner three-course tasting menu is $48 per person or $68 with wine pairings.
• Also, Acacia is holding a summer cooking class each month starting June 7 — BBQ Basics on the patio from noon to 3 p.m. Cost is $45; $55 includes wine and/or beer.
Armitage Wine Lounge & Café
2905 E. Skyline at La Encantada, 682-9740.
• Something's going on every night of the week. For example, at happy hour (4-6 p.m. Monday-Friday), and reverse happy hour (10 p.m.-close nightly), you can get half-price on all wines by the glass, cocktails and discounted food at the bar. And there's a lot Sundays: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. brunch with half-price drinks; live jazz on the patio from 3 to 7 p.m.; and 30 percent off the bill after 7 p.m.
Baggin's Gourmet Sandwiches

• Any two sandwiches and two drinks for $10.99 after 2 p.m. Monday-Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
• Then there's the "Satisfaction in the Sack Summer Sandwich" contest. Enter your sandwich recipe at any Baggin's restaurant. Winning sandwich recipes rotate all summer as the featured manager's special, which includes a bag of chips and a 20-ounce drink for $6.89.
Bistro Philippe

• Bastille Day celebration July 14 is a three-course classic French meal for $37.50 (Frog legs an additional $5). Also, the regular dinner menu. Live French music.
• A variety of special events start May 21, including Bistro Club night, 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Tuesdays with EuroMusic and half-price food and drinks; French wine tastings 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays for $25 per person; happy hour 3-6 p.m. Thursdays, first drink complimentary when you order appetizers from the bar; three-course menu for $24.95 Sundays through Thursdays.
Blue Willow

• To celebrate 30 years in business (June 10), Blue Willow is offering: two featured dinner entrees with two desserts for $30, June 9-15; half-off appetizers with purchase of a bottle of wine all June; and a $2 slice of Chocolate Sour Cream "Birthday" cake in June.

• At Janos: Summer Samplers for $19.95; Summer Tasting Menu for $34.50; and "Ten Terrific Tastes" — 10 items served over four courses for $50.
